JOB TITLE: CNA SCHEDULER

JOB CODE: 10

DEPARTMENT: ADMINISTRATIVE

FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF NURSING


JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living in order to 

promote resident independence and dignity. Also responsible for facility scheduling.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  •  Bathe, shower, shampoo, shave, comb hair, dress appropriately, and perform nail care of any residents assigned
  • Follow resident assignment schedule as made out by the charge nurse
  •  Lift, move, and transfer residents as required
  •  Answer call lights in a timely manner
  •  Assist or feed residents
  •  Keep resident clean and dry, toileting or providing incontinent care
  •  Provide supportive, protective, and safe environments for residents
  •  Monthly schedule development based on facility budgeted PPD
  •  Complete and post daily schedule
  •  Complete daily staffing sheet postings and maintain one year of postings
  •  Work to replace staff for Vacation/sick requests, call in's, absenteeism
  •  Track attendance of clinical team members
  •  Work on the floor as a CNA or CMA as needed
  •  Participate in on call schedule as assigned
  •  Understand and adhere to the guidelines of "Residents Rights" and assure resident safety
  •  Other duties as assigned


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:


Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  •  Current Nurse Aide certification in the state of Texas
  •  Must be in good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry in the state of Texas and Misconduct Registry
  •  Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal and written instructions in English
  •  Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents


Preferred:

  •  Experience in long term care/skilled nursing
  •  CPR Certified


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, 

pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, and reaching up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable 

accommodations


WORK SCHEDULE: As assigned; including some weekends evenings and holidays


WORK ENVIRONMENT: Clinical
