Job description

NASL is seeking a Safety Administrator who will drive effective safety practices that can be followed and measured at all NASL's locations nationwide including remote employee areas. This includes providing safety guidance, administrative updates, reporting, and process optimization support across the company. Primary responsibilities will be to provide guidance on all OSHA compliance and training needs to drive a Safety-First culture. This includes but is not limited to generating safety reports for senior leaders, continuing training for current and on-boarded employees, updating dashboards, as well as identifying opportunities for continual improvement.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Provide reminders for following safety policies, procedures and tools that follow local and state rules and regulations and support operations while ensuring our employees, vendors, and clients are kept safe.
  • Reports organization-wide and site-specific Safety goals in coordination with Site Managers and Company leadership.
  • Promote the achievement of established goals and initiatives, including profitability and productivity requirements.
  • Assists as "management of change" warrior in supporting initiative a as it relates to Safety; assist employees to understand why the Safety policies are in their best interests and that of the company; work through any issues that come out of the change process.
  • Perform safety audits, inspections, and surveys; prepare written reports of findings and recommendations; ensure that managers implement recommendations.
  • Recommends and implements employee training programs as indicated by regulatory guidelines, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment.
  • Develop, implement, track and report safety metrics and KPIs; Ensure timely reporting of HSE information to relevant stakeholders.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety, business field, operations best practices, or equivalent experience and or certification.
  • Knowledge and understanding of federal, multi-state and local OSHA regulations.
  • At least 5 years' related experience; Safety in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Experience working under moderate supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills across all levels of the company.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and orientation to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and accommodate changes in all processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to travel to all NASL locations as scheduled and on a needed basis.
