Job description

BOOST LLC is a dynamic management consulting firm that offers an array of government-compliant back-office solutions to support our teaming partners within the GovCon space. We are working with our client, Don Selvy Enterprises (DSE) to find their next highly skilled LSI APMSE Technical Support Analyst.

About DSE

DSE, Inc. is a team of experienced professionals dedicated to engineering, training, and program management that enables front-line soldiers, sailors, and Marines to fully exploit the tactical capabilities of aviation and maritime platforms. We accomplish this by using the most qualified employees and keeping abreast of every new capability in aviation, maritime technologies, and simulation/training technology as it emerges. Our wide range of expertise is constantly expanding as we seek valued members of the DSE team and work to develop each of them to their fullest potential in the field. To this day, DSE continues to foster a work environment that supports ingenuity and the care for each member of the team.

The Role

The LSI APMSE Technical Support Analyst will take direction from the LSI APMSE and provide direct support to the LSI APMSE and Deputy APMSE. Responsibilities include coordinating, running, taking minutes, and tracking action items for weekly team level and sub level meetings and engineering events. You'll assist the APMSE and Deputy APMSE with ensuring sound engineering processes are followed, proper events are planned and executed, and proper staffing, financial planning, and technical expertise are in place to support the mission. You'll also support the Air System and UMCS efforts by ensuring coordination and communication occurs across Government and Contractor teams.

Why DSE

DSE doesn't just ask for your experience, it rewards it. DSE's PTO program is experience-based rather than tenure-based, meaning the relevant industry experience you bring with you can qualify you for a higher PTO allocation from day one, rather than starting over at the bottom like you would at most employers. It's a rare structure in this industry, where most companies only reward the tenure you earn after you join, not the years of expertise you bring with you.

That same philosophy carries through the rest of the benefits package:

  • Starting salary range: $90,000 to $115,000 annually
  • 100% company-paid medical and dental premiums for employees (50% for dependents)
  • 401(k) with up to a 4% company match
  • Fully paid life, short-term, and long-term disability insurance, no cost to you
  • Employer-funded FSA plus HRA contributions toward your deductible
  • Experience-based PTO: your prior relevant experience can qualify you for a higher PTO allocation from day one, plus the option to purchase additional PTO
  • 11 paid holidays (6 national, 5 floating)
  • Tuition reimbursement to support continued professional growth

Responsibilities

  • Attend and run meetings in person, capturing action items with enough detail to be actionable and providing meaningful minutes
  • Manage calendars and schedules for the APMSE and DAPMSEs, as well as across the engineering team for upcoming engineering events, GEMAT, and the team member leave calendar
  • Compile information and data from multiple sources (briefs, meeting minutes and actions, spreadsheets, etc.) to develop briefs and responses to Executive and Level 1 data calls
  • Provide useful data, reports, and information to APMSE and DAPMSEs in various formats as requested
  • Assist with coordination of future year planning, staffing requirements, and tracking vacancies across the LSI Engineering team; maintain and update org charts as needed
  • Assist with coordination of financial planning and execution oversight across the LSI Engineering team, including spend plan reviews
  • Coordinate and track RIOs from an LSI Engineering leadership perspective, working with the Risk Manager to collect team inputs and provide status information
  • Support Flight Clearance efforts, including coordination and tracking in the Flight Clearance Tool and Operational Limit Database
  • Support efforts to monitor and track CDRL deliveries and the review process
  • Support efforts to monitor and track Airworthiness Qualification Matrix artifact availability, review process, and metric development
  • Set up and coordinate meetings for the APMSE and DAPMSEs via Microsoft Teams, WebEx, and teleconferences
  • Coordinate inputs for and monitor the completion of taskers, including pulling information from previous briefs and class desks to draft responses for leadership review
  • Manage Government and Contractor SharePoint, share drive, and contractor information system access and permissions (e.g., Teams Channels, EXOSTAR, FLEX, iTRACK, PLM)
  • Develop, manage, and maintain Action Items/Taskers, Technical Coordination Memos, Specification Change Notices, and Correspondence for routing and tracking at the APMSE and DAPMSE level
  • Route and track items under LSI Engineering review in ECM
  • Manage travel requests and provide weekly trackers of LSI Engineering travelers by destination, purpose, and impact
  • Work with Senior Systems Engineering Support and Chief Engineer Executive Assistant to complete cross-support activity tasking
  • Provide other general LSI Engineering support as required

Required Education

  • BA/BS degree

Qualifications

  • Experience with Systems Engineering processes and implementation of such processes and events
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and similar toolsets
  • Detail oriented with excellent communication skills
  • Capable of coordinating amongst multiple competencies to achieve consensus
  • Must hold a security clearance or have the ability to obtain one
  • NAVAIR acquisition experience preferred

Required Experience

  • 3 to 10 years of experience
  • Demonstrated Systems Engineering experience with a focus on Model Based Systems Engineering and associated toolsets
  • Experience working Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs) in accordance with DOD 5000 and SECNAV instructions
  • Experience coordinating and participating in a wide variety of technical meetings, including IPT and prime contractor meetings, system working group meetings, technical interchange meetings, and program review meetings, followed by preparation and distribution of meeting minutes
  • Experience developing and executing sound systems engineering processes and plans, acquisition strategies, and integrated Government schedules
  • Utilization of NAVAIR Management Tools
  • Must work onsite 100% of the time at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, St. Mary's County, Maryland
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold a Secret security clearance
