Description
GENERAL JOB DUTIES:
Cleaning, painting and minor repair of crane components and accessories for Morrow Equipment Company.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Ability to clean and prepare crane components.
  • Ability to overhaul and repair crane and hoists components using basic mechanics hand tools.
  • Ability to learn and operate shop machinery and power tools.
  • Ability to utilize proper rigging equipment.
  • Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance on tools and shop equipment.
  • Ensure lifting equipment is in safe operating condition prior to use.
  • Following of all Company safety rules, policies, and procedures at all times, including proper usage of Company-supplied PPE as required, including hard hats, safety glasses, body harnesses, etc.
  • Ability to represent the Company in a professional manner, which includes wearing of Company supplied MEC Branded shirts or uniforms, and proper maintenance of Company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Notifies the Shop Foreman or District Service Manager of unsafe conditions and/or practices.
  • Safeguard tools and equipment belonging to the Company.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work at heights as required.
  • Ability and willingness to work extra hours, including overtime and on-call availability, according to business needs.
  • Performance of other duties as assigned by District Service Manager or Shop Foreman.

Requirements
TECHNICAL SKILLS/LICENSES:
  • May be required to maintain a current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • May be required to maintain a valid state driver's license and be insurable by the company's carrier.
  • May be required to have a forklift operator's license.
  • May be required to maintain a Crane Operator Qualification.
  • May be required to complete rigger/signaling training and/or may be required to complete rigging/signal person certification.
