Job Summary

The Iron Worker is responsible for completing tasks related to structural iron and steel erection and completing the tasks in a timely, quality manner while maintaining safety and productivity.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in work area layout, assembly, and installation of structural steel. May include taking measurements, assisting with setting up rigging, unloading, and shake out of material.
  • Install safety line and posts.
  • Clean work area and assist in keeping it safe.
Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • GED or High School Diploma.
  • TWIC Card and/or Real IDโ€™s are required.
  • Ability to work at heights in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work from ladders and scaffolds.

Preferred:

  • Capable of performing physically demanding tasks during long shifts.
  • Skilled in math, which includes adding and subtracting fractions.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must pass a background check and do a drug screening.
