Job description

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Revenue Manager will assist with the accurate recording and safekeeping of RNC financial information with a concentration on the revenue recognition process and workflow. The Revenue Manager will supervise, execute and report the transactional business of the organization and be responsible for establishing and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. As part of the month end close process, the Revenue Manager is expected to assist in the compilation of the monthly Federal Election Commission (FEC) report. This position supervises two accounting staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and review daily activity of revenue processing team
  • Coordinate, reconcile and review data prior to posting transactions in both the accounting and donor management software
  • Review daily cash reports for review prior to distribution
  • Provide daily reconciliation of processing of contributions and other revenues
  • Responsible for the data integrity of all contribution information
  • Maintain accuracy of all restricted fund contribution transactions in donor management software
  • Monitor and maintain a clean level of data hygiene in donor management software
  • Collaborate with other departments to manage contribution import files
  • Facilitate complex contributions and act as a resource to other divisions
  • Coordinate the daily, weekly and monthly accounting tasks and activities
  • Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and processes to enhance the workflow of the department and organization as a whole
  • Maintain procedural documents related to system entry, processes and organizational policies and procedures
  • Assist in monthly Federal Election Commission report review and compilation
  • Provide training and mentor direct reports to enhance the professional development of staff
  • Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and Federal Election Commission (FEC)
  • All other Ad Hoc projects and duties as assigned
