Job description

Medical Operations Assistant (Remote)

The IMA Group is looking for a highly organized Medical Operations Assistant to support our growing Occupational Health team. This primarily remote role is ideal for someone with a Medical Assistant background who enjoys problem-solving, training others, and collaborating across multiple clinic locations. Occasional travel may be required to support business needs.

What You'll Do
  • Partner with the National Medical Operations Manager to support occupational health operations across multiple locations.
  • Serve as a liaison between clinic staff, clients, and vendors to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Assist with onboarding and launching new occupational health clients.
  • Help train and support medical staff on workflows, procedures, and best practices.
  • Participate in Medical Operations Committee meetings and contribute to process improvements.
  • Troubleshoot daily operational, clinical, and billing issues, including lab services, E-Screen, and occupational health processes.
  • Coordinate routine inspection and calibration of medical equipment.
  • Travel occasionally to provide onsite support and training when needed.
Qualifications
  • Medical Assistant training or education required.
  • 1-2 years of Medical Assistant or healthcare operations experience.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating with teams across multiple locations.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as business needs require.
