CLIENT HIGHLIGHT

LOCATION
Boise, ID or Donnelly, ID (Partial remote flexibility available)
Travel required to remote project sites, field offices, contractor offices, and surrounding project areas as needed.
  • Work location is approximately 40 miles east of McCall, Idaho
  • Due to the remote nature of the project, candidates must be comfortable working in mountainous and remote environments
  • Position may involve participation in rotational or field-based schedules depending on project phase and operational needs

COMPENSATION
$100,000 – $130,000 base salary (flexibility for highly qualified candidates)
• 15% Short-Term Incentive (annual bonus)
• 20% Long-Term Incentive (equity over 3 years)

SCHEDULE
Generally Monday–Friday with a typical workload ranging from 40–50 hours per week.
• Occasional extended hours may be required during active construction or field operations
• Significant field engineering and site travel may be required depending on project phase
• Partial remote flexibility available during periods without active site or office commitments

DURATION
Full-time, permanent position supporting the project through construction and into operational phases

POSITION OVERVIEW – Project Engineer
The Project Engineer will support the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of complex engineering and capital projects supporting a large-scale mining and infrastructure development project. This role will function in an owner-side project engineering capacity, supporting multidisciplinary engineering efforts across mine infrastructure, processing facilities, tailings systems, and construction activities. The Project Engineer will work closely with engineering, operations, environmental, maintenance, and construction teams to help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys project coordination, field involvement, and working across multiple disciplines in a dynamic construction and mining environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support and demonstrate the organization’s commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and responsible resource development
• Assist with management of engineering and construction projects from planning through commissioning
• Support development of project scopes, schedules, budgets, and risk assessments
• Coordinate engineering design activities, technical studies, and feasibility evaluations
• Review and maintain project documentation including drawings, specifications, reports, and construction packages
• Provide engineering support across mine infrastructure, processing facilities, tailings systems, and site operations
• Support contractor coordination, construction execution, and field engineering activities
• Assist with technical evaluations, equipment reviews, and process improvement initiatives
• Ensure project activities comply with MSHA/OSHA standards, environmental regulations, and company safety requirements
• Support permitting activities and environmental compliance efforts as needed
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, environmental, finance, and leadership teams to support project execution
• Track project risks, schedule impacts, cost concerns, and technical issues
• Participate in hazard assessments and promote a strong site safety culture
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to project delivery and execution strategies

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Mining, Electrical, or related discipline)
• 5+ years of engineering experience with at least 3 years supporting mining, heavy industrial, or large-scale construction environments
• Experience supporting capital projects of varying size and complexity
• Knowledge of mining operations, industrial infrastructure, or heavy construction environments
• Experience coordinating with contractors, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams
• Proficiency with engineering design software and project management tools
• Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability and willingness to travel to remote project sites as needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure
• Experience supporting underground or open-pit mining projects
• Familiarity with tailings facilities, mine infrastructure, or processing facilities
• Experience working in remote or camp-based project environments
• Experience supporting EPC or EPCM construction projects and contractor coordination
