Job description

As a Professional Engineer, you'll apply engineering principles and technical expertise to the design and analysis of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You’ll take ownership of specific design tasks, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure that all work meets technical standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations while continuing to develop your professional engineering judgment and leadership skills.


  • Prepare and review design plans, calculations, and technical documentation for pipelines, pump stations, and treatment systems.
  • Apply engineering standards and design codes to ensure technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute to QA/QC processes to ensure design integrity and consistency across deliverables.
  • Coordinate design efforts across internal teams, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies. Serve as a task lead or assistant project manager for larger project teams. Project management opportunities for contracts up to $500k+.
  • Support project teams with technical input, cost estimating, and implementation of quality control reviews throughout project development.
  • Lead and/or assist in the pursuit of new project opportunities and contract $100k - $500k+ of new work annually.

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 7 to 14 years of water and wastewater engineering experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Basic proficiency in AutoCAD & Civil 3D software is a plus but not required.
  • This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copy machines. May occasionally be exposed to noise.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the physical demands of the employee may include constant sitting, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, and occasional standing, moving, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, and coordination. This job will rarely require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over to 35 lbs.

Projected Compensation: $120k - $150k+ based on applicable experience.
