Work Environment

This position offers a remote work setting, providing flexibility while ensuring a supportive environment for our staff. Our outpatient facility in Joliet, Illinois, serves as the hub for our operations, allowing counselors to remain connected with team members and access resources easily. You will enjoy a structured work schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify mental and emotional challenges, leading to accurate diagnoses.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based coping strategies to address patients’ unique needs.
  • Meet regularly with patients, providing a safe space to discuss their experiences and monitor their emotional progress.
  • Educate patients and their families on effective stress management and coping techniques related to trauma recovery.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers and medical providers, to facilitate comprehensive care.
  • Provide training and resources to clinic staff on trauma-informed practices to enhance overall service delivery.
  • Stay current with the latest practices in mental health counseling through ongoing education and professional development.
  • Tackle the growing demand for supportive trauma care within the community by actively participating in outreach efforts and program development.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role is centered around assisting trauma injury patients who face a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. Our clients often require specialized support to navigate their recovery journeys, necessitating an approach rooted in empathy, patience, and clinical expertise. You will be an integral player in aiding these individuals to reclaim their lives and build resilience.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Valid License as a Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in treating trauma patients.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to facilitate documentation and reporting processes.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration and patient interaction.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience using Salesforce and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems to enhance patient care and documentation processes.
  • Familiarity with community healthcare resources and networks that support trauma recovery.
Compensation and Benefits
