Assistant Remote Asynchronous information

How does an Assistant Remote Asynchronous typically coordinate tasks and maintain communication with a distributed team?

An Assistant Remote Asynchronous usually relies on digital project management tools and asynchronous communication platforms, such as email, Slack, or Trello, to coordinate tasks and share updates with team members across different time zones. This role requires proactive documentation and clear, concise messaging to ensure everyone stays informed and projects progress smoothly. Regular check-ins, status updates, and adherence to agreed-upon workflows are essential to keep collaboration effective despite limited real-time interaction. Successful assistants in this setting are highly organized and comfortable working independently while still fostering strong virtual teamwork.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Assistant Remote Asynchronous, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Assistant Remote Asynchronous, you need strong organizational skills, time management, and proficiency in digital communication, often supported by a relevant degree or administrative experience. Familiarity with cloud collaboration tools (such as Google Workspace, Slack, and project management software) is typically required. Exceptional self-motivation, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly without real-time feedback are standout soft skills. These abilities ensure effective support, seamless workflow, and productivity in decentralized, non-synchronous environments.

What are Assistant Remote Asynchronous jobs?

Assistant Remote Asynchronous jobs involve providing administrative, technical, or creative support to individuals or teams from a remote location, with tasks and communications not requiring real-time interaction. These roles allow employees to complete assignments on their own schedule, coordinating primarily through email, project management tools, or other asynchronous communication platforms. This flexibility makes it ideal for those balancing multiple commitments or working across different time zones. Typical duties may include managing schedules, handling correspondence, data entry, or assisting with projects. The asynchronous nature of the work emphasizes results over hours logged, focusing on productivity and deliverables.

ELEHEAR is a fast-growing innovator in the over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aid space, combining advanced AI-driven technology with a mission to make hearing care more accessible and affordable. With in-house R&D, manufacturing, and a collaborative team of engineers, audiologists, and support professionals, ELEHEAR is redefining how hearing care is delivered.

By removing traditional barriers to access, ELEHEAR empowers more individuals to benefit from high-quality hearing solutions—because when people feel heard, life sounds better.

Position Overview:

ELEHEAR is seeking a licensed Audiologist in Texas to join its fully remote care team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys blending clinical expertise with technology to deliver a modern, customer-centered hearing care experience.

You will support patients remotely through hearing aid programming, education, and troubleshooting, while collaborating cross-functionally with customer support, product, and development teams.

What makes this role unique:

This is an opportunity to practice audiology in a fully remote setting while working at the forefront of the rapidly evolving OTC hearing aid space. You’ll play a direct role in expanding access to hearing care, while helping shape how technology and clinical support come together to improve patient outcomes at scale.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide remote patient support via phone, email, and SMS
  • Perform asynchronous hearing aid programming and adjustments
  • Educate patients on hearing aid use, care, and maintenance
  • Troubleshoot device performance and connectivity issues
  • Assist patients with Bluetooth pairing and use of the ELEHEAR mobile app
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all patient interactions
  • Collaborate with customer service, marketing, and product teams to improve user experience and product performance
  • Deliver a high-quality, patient-centered experience across a wide range of technical comfort levels and age groups
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or equivalent
  • Active Audiologist license in Texas (required)
  • Minimum 1 year of hearing aid fitting experience
  • Preferred: Experience with remote/tele-audiology services
  • Preferred: Familiarity with platforms such as Aircall, Zendesk, WhatsApp, Calendly, or Google Drive
  • Preferred: Comfortable participating in occasional media opportunities or contributing to educational/marketing content (e.g., as a clinical spokesperson)
Benefits:
  • Full-time schedule, Monday–Friday (standard business hours)
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Retirement plan
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Fully remote work environment
  • Opportunity to work at the forefront of OTC hearing care innovation
