Job description

Position Summary:Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule. Will assist dispatcher or operations manager in scheduling drivers, crews, and equipment in the conveyance of materials rendered outside the place of business.
Essential Duties and Functions: To perform this job successfully, the individual occupying this position must be able to perform essential job functions set forth below with or without reasonable accommodation. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required.
  • Examine documents to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
  • Rate moved ensuring adherence to contract specifications.
  • Prepare WISE work order documentation.
  • Scan documents, including order for service and authorizations, to corporate and Atlas.
  • Order and maintain inventoried of uniforms supplies necessary to meet crew demands.
  • Relay shipment orders, message, and information to or from work crews, supervisors, and quality control.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, packers, loaders for local and long-distance moves.
  • Communicate effectively with revenue processing.
  • Assist with military surveys and shipment updates as needed.

Technology Skills:

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): The following are required to enable job holders to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 1 - 2 Years related work experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Physical demands listed below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Assures that safety regulations are followed at all times.
  • Follows policies and procedures including infection control, universal pre-cautions and exposure control plans when performing daily tasks.
  • Reports hazardous conditions, accidents, and incidents to the immediate supervisor.
  • Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
  • Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching.
  • Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, or chemicals.
  • May require infrequent travel.
  • Will require significant overtime during peak seasons.
  • The position has specific requirements with respect to vision, hearing, and speaking as in an office setting.
  • Schedule is expected to be consistent with revenue processing needs either 7-5 or 8-6.
  • Every third Saturday will be required.
