Job Description

The Enrollment Management Assistant works within the Enrollment Management Office and with other departments to assist students in completing the College student enrollment process.

Duties include assisting with outreach activities aimed at prospective and current students; providing practical assistance to students to complete the enrollment process; responding to requests for information and providing explanations of the College’s procedures and policies to students and parents; performing data entry and extraction in the College’s student information database; maintaining electronic and hard-copy files; assisting in the Test Center coverage and other enrollment management units as needed; and performing other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.

Required Education

Associate’s degree

Required Experience

Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Ability to navigate information systems

  • Proficiency in a Windows-based computer environment, including programs in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with diverse populations and student support services

Hours per Week 20

General Weekly Work Schedule

Must be available to work Monday through Friday between 12:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and Saturday hours may be required, particularly during peak enrollment periods. The final work schedule will be determined by the supervisor.
