Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and formulate individualized treatment plans, including pre-crisis and crisis plans, behavioral guidelines, and medication treatment strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards by completing all required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Utilize evidence-based screening tools as recommended by the clinical team to identify client needs accurately.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement positive behavior support plans tailored to each client's circumstances.
  • Actively participate in ongoing licensing and accreditation initiatives to maintain high standards of service delivery.
  • Serve as a liaison to relevant service systems, state agencies, and community partner organizations to enhance service delivery.
  • Facilitate clear communication to uphold contractual obligations and promote the mission of South Coast Medical Clinic throughout the community.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with local, state, and federal agencies to foster new partnerships and funding opportunities.
  • Pursue continuous personal and professional development through conferences, training sessions, and agency representation at key community events.
  • Promote the mission, values, and principles of the agency consistently across all interactions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director, contributing to the overall functioning of the team.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at South Coast Medical Clinic, you will work with a diverse population, including individuals facing emotional distress, substance use disorders, developmental challenges, and trauma recovery. Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in a mental health-related field is required.
  • An independent LMHC license valid in Texas is essential for this position.
