Job description

Position: Supplier Relationship Manager
Location: Deerfield, IL (Hybrid - 2-3 days in office)
Duration: 12 months+
Description:
Oversee key vendor relationships to ensure consistent delivery of best-in-class services by ensuring effective governance including the facilitation of internal and external relationship reviews and gaining insight to supplier account strategy and roadmap.
Responsibilities:
  • Focus on activities that drive operational excellence with Client's supplier network by monitoring and improving supplier performance, supporting risk mitigation activities, identifying cost savings opportunities and finding unique ways to maximize the value of our supplier relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide structure and strategy to the management of key vendor relationships and stand up operational and strategic relationship reviews that promote issue resolution, information sharing and strategic planning.
  • Identify vendor performance gaps and drive the completion of improvement activities or vendor action plans.
  • Develop, maintain, and generate vendor performance reports for management.
  • Review historical data to analyze, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that address and/or capitalize on trends.
  • Develop and conduct tactical and reporting strategies to support vendor placement goals including: financial, quality, production, customer service, and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze vendor activities and trends.
  • Compare vendor performance against standards and best practices.
  • Identify strategic opportunities and provide recommendations to management.
  • Partner with team members on vendor negotiations.
  • Deliver on cost reduction targets while balancing and maintaining the quality of vendor performance.
  • Assist engagement owners and managers with the remediation of issues, completion of third party scorecards, the facilitation of periodic risk reviews by subject matter experts, and other activities required to manage a relationship throughout the lifecycle.
  • Support activities to mature Enterprise Supplier Management activities including performance management, Supplier Innovation and Award Days, Voice of the Supplier Surveys, Supplier Code of Conduct monitoring and other related activities.
  • Support the development of training and resources to mature the discipline of Supplier Relationship and Performance management across the company.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Arts or related field
  • 6-8+ years of experience in Vendor Management, Relationship Management, (Third Party) Risk Management, Project Management, Sourcing or related experience
