Job Title: Part-Time Submarine Systems Engineer Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Part time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Confidential Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: None Type of Travel: None * * * The Opportunity: CACI has will have an opening for an Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Ocean Engineer to support engineering and planning efforts for Submarine Rescue and Mobility platforms at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNS) in Kittery, Maine. Responsibilities: * Develop, create and review Job Summaries and Task Group Instructions (TGIs)
* Assist with other Deficiency Form problems and preparing Sales Costs estimates.
* Support of 688 Class and 774 Class Submarine engineering and Deep Submergence projects Qualifications: Required * Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Ocean engineering degree from an ABET Accredited College/University (other degree disciplines may be considered)
* 10 years' experience with submarine and/or deep submergence systems
* Knowledge of US Navy Shipyard applications including AIM
* Professional engineering experience performing complex engineering calculations such as heat transfer, fluid flow, piping stress, mechanical stress etc.
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and experience with MS Office suite of products.
* Demonstrated ability to manage work in a time-sensitive operational environment.
* Well-developed interpersonal skills
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance. Desired: * Related submarine / submersible experience with design, maintenance, operations, repair and/or testing
* Electrical power background (NSTM 300)
* Familiarity with Military Specifications, ANSI and ASME standards
