Job Title: Substitute Receptionist

Pay Rate: $18 to $22 per hour
Job Summary: EdAdvance is seeking a dependable and professional Substitute Receptionist to provide support in our reception area on an as-needed/on-call basis. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. This role is perfect for someone looking for flexible, part-time work in a dynamic office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome visitors in a warm and professional manner and connect them with the appropriate EdAdvance employee or department.
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls using a multi-line phone system.
  • Provide accurate information to visitors and callers regarding the company, its services, and office procedures.
  • Maintain the reception area in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Follow established procedures regarding delivery of packages.
  • Assist with scheduling and managing conference rooms and meeting spaces.
  • Update electronic events kiosk and print meeting room signs for distribution.
  • Reserve event meeting rooms and update Events Planning Calendar as required.
  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning, and faxing.
  • Support other administrative tasks and projects as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications as a receptionist or in a related field will be a plus.
  • Proven work experience as a receptionist, front desk representative, or similar role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service orientation and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to be available on short notice for substitute assignments.
