About the Position: This Time-Limited (14) job opportunity is in the MS Office of Homeland Security, PEARL, MS, located in RANKIN COUNTY, and will serve as the Receptionist and Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Support Assistant IV serves as a key administrative and front-office support position within the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (MDPS) Homeland Security Department. This position serves as the primary receptionist and administrative contact for the department while providing comprehensive administrative support to Homeland Security leadership, staff, and program personnel. The position is responsible for creating a professional, welcoming, and efficient front-office environment; receiving and directing visitors and telephone calls; coordinating schedules and meetings; preparing correspondence and reports; maintaining records; processing documents; and providing day-to-day administrative assistance to department personnel. Because the position operates within a Homeland Security environment, the incumbent may routinely interact with law enforcement personnel, federal and state officials, local government representatives, vendors, applicants, members of the public, and other individuals requiring access to the department.
