Billing Specialist (RCD & Orders Processing)

Senior Care Solutions | Home Health

Position Overview

Senior Care Solutions is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Billing / RCD Specialist to join our home health team. This position will support the agency's billing, clinical documentation, and physician order processes while working closely with clinicians, Clinical Managers, physicians, and internal departments.

The ideal candidate has experience in Medicare home health, medical billing, clinical documentation, or revenue cycle management and is comfortable managing multiple priorities while ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and received in a timely manner.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with day-to-day billing and revenue cycle activities for Medicare home health patients.
  • Review patient charts and documentation for completeness, accuracy, and required billing information.
  • Monitor patient records for missing or incomplete documentation and follow up with clinicians and Clinical Managers as needed.
  • Assist with preparing claims, correcting billing issues, and following up on outstanding billing items.
  • Assist with obtaining, tracking, and maintaining physician orders and other required clinical documentation.
  • Prepare and send orders and documentation to physician offices for review and signature.
  • Follow up with physician offices regarding outstanding or incomplete orders and documentation.
  • Track pending orders and ensure signed documentation is received within required timeframes.
  • Upload and maintain signed orders, clinical documentation, and other required records within the EMR.
  • Communicate with clinicians, physician offices, and internal departments to resolve documentation and order-related issues.
  • Assist with ensuring patient documentation meets Medicare and agency requirements.
  • Identify discrepancies or missing information that could impact billing, compliance, or patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records within the EMR and other agency systems.
  • Assist with audits, documentation reviews, and other quality assurance activities as needed.
  • Prioritize daily tasks and follow up consistently on outstanding items.
  • Perform additional administrative and clinical support duties as assigned.
  • Previous experience in home health, medical billing, revenue cycle, clinical documentation, or physician orders.

  • Medicare home health experience strongly preferred.

  • Familiarity with WellSky/Kinnser or another home health EMR.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Comfortable communicating with physicians, physician offices, clinicians, and internal teams.

  • Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
