Job description

Role Summary:

A Retail Sales Associate is responsible for generating sales of merchandise, such as leather goods, home furnishings, luggage, hunting accessories, apparel, and jewelry by assisting customers in the selection of products.ย 

What to Expect in the Role:

  • Assist customers in the selection of goods ensuring that each customer receives professional service in person and on the phone.ย  Be proficient with up-selling and cross-selling merchandise.
  • Provide a friendly, professional, and inviting environment for customersย to demonstrate a hospitality-based approach to retail. This includesย greeting and acknowledging customers as well as engaging in meaningful conversations.
  • Demonstrate solid product knowledge, including function and care.ย 
  • Maintain an awareness of all merchandise promotions, sales, and advertisements.ย 
  • Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping.ย 
  • Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise.ย  Participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock.
  • Adhere to all Company policies, procedures and practices including signing, pricing, and loss prevention.ย 
  • Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash and media accountabilities at POS registers.ย 
  • Communicate customer requests to management.ย 
  • Promote and answer questions about the history of King Ranch to customers.ย 
  • Transfer and stock materials for the store.
  • Stamp (personalize) selected leather goods.

What We Will Be Needing From You:ย 

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.ย 
  • Must have 1 year of retail or customer service experience. Previous experience in luxury goods or in the outdoor industry is a plus. ย 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and pick up information quickly.ย 
  • Ability to effectively problem solve and resolve conflicts within a retail environment.ย 
  • Team Player.ย 
  • Genuine interest and enthusiasm in the King Ranch brand, leather goods, the outdoors, craftsmanship, apparel, etc. or willingness to learn.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of work, from product handling to customer interactions.ย 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including how to engage customers.
  • Must have a high school diploma.ย 
  • Technical background in platforms such as Shopify, NetSuite, and Oracle is a plus.
