WESTLAKE WARRIOR | Account Manager II - Collections_Credit_Cards

 

JOB HIGHLIGHTS:

  • $1,000 Tiered Retention Bonus.

  

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

90-day collectors will oversee handling accounts that have fallen over three payments past due. They will need to contact customer via phone and skip trace to locate customers that are difficult to get a hold of. The agent will have a monthly goal that needs to be reached. Agent will need to incorporate several skip trace techniques as well as negotiation skills to cure accounts. Agent will also have to use his/her skip trace knowledge to skip on customers.

DUTIES, TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but not limited to):

  • Collect accounts that past due three or more payments.
  • Bring delinquency down in set queue.
  • Call customer that are past due three payments
  • Skip trace to locate customers that are delinquent and collateral.
  • Make arrangements and negotiate with delinquent accounts to bring current.
  • Agent will need to be able to handle high volume calls in a fast-paced environment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES

  • Skiptrace Knowledge
  • Some experience in credit card collections or a related financial services role. 
  • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule including overtime and weekends
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws applicable to collections, including the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act
  • Good computer and typing skills
  • Team player
  • Good negotiation skills; excellent telephone etiquette
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and Outlook
  •  Web navigation and/or web-based applications

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of Backend subprime collections
  • Auto Collections experience preferred
