Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Property Manager, to join our team in Durham, NC. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the property management team in ensuring the smooth operation of our multifamily apartment community . This position requires a blend of administrative skills, customer service expertise, and knowledge of property maintenance and facilities management.

Duties:

Assist in the day-to-day operations of property management, including tenant relations and property maintenance.

Manage delinquancies, renewals, leases to meet company goals

Coordinate maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of issues through effective facilities management.

Maintain accurate records of tenant information, lease agreements, and property documents through diligent data entry.

Support the management team with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, preparing reports, and managing correspondence.

Foster positive relationships with tenants by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and maintenance schedules.

Collaborate with leasing team to promote available units and assist in leasing efforts.

Experience :

Previous experience as a Assistant Property Manager in multifamily property management

Yardi experience requiredSpanish speaking (Bilingual) preferred

Property leasing experience required

Basic accounting

Customer service

Familiarity with property maintenance practices and facilities management principles is advantageous.

Strong administrative skills with proficiency in data entry and record keeping.

Knowledge of customer relationship management techniques to enhance tenant satisfaction.

Understanding of legal aspects related to property management, including fair housing laws.

Strong leasing skills
