We are looking for a driven, detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the successful delivery of commercial stair systems, railings, structural steel, and architectural metal projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. What You'll Do
As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll work alongside experienced Project Managers to help keep projects organized, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and milestone tracking
✅ Monitor submittals, engineering deliverables, fabrication timelines, and installation progress
✅ Support budget management, purchase orders, and cost tracking
✅ Coordinate material procurement, deliveries, labor resources, and subcontractors
✅ Help maintain project documentation, reports, and daily status updates
✅ Assist with OSHA-compliant safety initiatives and documentation
✅ Participate in quality control inspections and corrective action tracking
✅ Support client communications, progress meetings, and project updates
✅ Track contract requirements and assist with change order management
✅ Compile project reports, photos, and field documentation
What We're Looking For
✔ Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred)
✔ 1–3 years of construction, project coordination, or related experience
✔ Experience in commercial construction or miscellaneous metals is a plus
✔ Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings
✔ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
✔ Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and project management software (Procore experience preferred)
✔ Knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and building practices
✔ Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
✔ Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
