About the Job
Established in 1968, Cherry Coatings is one of the largest commercial paint contractors in the country. We are a family-owned business that provides architectural, industrial, and maintenance coating services for some of the most recognizable facilities in Texas, Arizona, Tennessee, and beyond. Our strong emphasis on high quality service and client satisfaction have made us the select partner for general contractors, property management firms, and facility managers.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Assisting Project Manager(s) with tasks such as: change events, change orders, RFI's, submittals, tracking materials, closeout documents, etc...
  • Learning and applying Cherry Coatings' standard operating procedures, to your work.
  • Assisting the Project Manager and gaining experience in leading the project team as the main point of contact for the project.
  • Learning how to update, project, and manage the financials on a monthly basis.
  • Assist the PM in the monthly project process reports including cost reports updates, PCO, CO, RFIs, submittals, safety, and schedule reports to executive team leaders.
  • Assist in estimating change orders, reviewing and understanding the entire process according to the owner contract.
  • Learn the basic principles of the subcontracts and owner contracts by shadowing the PM while navigating payments, changes, claims, etc.
  • Be a member of the team involved in formal presentations for the project.

  • Entrepreneurial team player who can multitask.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, Box, DocuSign, Textura, Bluebeam, and a willingness to learn AIA contracts.
  • Passion for construction and applying new technologies, concepts, and innovative solutions.

Qualifications:
  • Commercial paint experience is required
  • Experience in project management
  • Knowledge of inspection procedures and logistics management
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and meet project deadlines
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in the construction industry is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
