We are seeking a project coordinator to support the Human Resource Administration program and related technology initiatives.ย  This person will be responsible for keeping initiatives moving on track through all phases of the project life cycle.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a project coordinator to support the State Purchasing Division (SPD) program of our agency and related technology initiatives.ย  This person will be responsible for keeping initiatives moving on track through all phases of the project life cycle.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and integrate cross-functional information technology tasks to deliver specific results to customers on time.
  • Record and distribute project meeting minutes.
  • Monitor, and track project documentation and deliverables.
  • Send follow-ups as necessary to ensure project activities are completed in a timely manner.
  • Work with project managers and business teams to document and manage project scope and high-level requirements.
  • Perform project tasks (gathering requirements, facilitating design discussions, managing application development, testing, training, and roll-outs) as required to keep projects on track.
  • Define resources and schedule for project/program implementation.
  • Keep project status and resource forecasts current in reporting tools.
  • Use reporting tools to keep customers informed of project status and to schedule upcoming work.
  • Provide customer management responsibilities, including managing expectations, communicating project status, and reporting on lessons learned and retrospective findings.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office tools (Project, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholder groups:ย  executive management, business, and technical teams.

MINIMUM ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:ย 

  • Three years of recent, verifiable, relevant project management experience
