Job description

Summary

At NKC of America Inc., we’re building the future of automation, robotics, and manufacturing for automotive convey systems. We are seeking a talented Electrical Project Engineer who is passionate about designing cutting-edge solutions. Join our team and be a key player in the design, installation, and optimization of automated systems that power industries across the globe.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interpret mechanical design drawings to determine electrical requirements.

  • Research and evaluate supplier products for assembly components.

  • Assist in establishing new standards and maintaining existing ones.

  • Power up electrical systems and configure hardware according to application specifications.

  • Review the work of assemblers and technicians, ensuring quality and providing responses to assembly inquiries.

  • Understand client requirements for GUI/communication interfaces and networking, and develop specifications accordingly.

  • Assist in training, orienting, and bringing new employees up to speed.

  • Be available and willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays to meet customer project commitments.

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards in a highly regulated, process-driven environment.

Education and Experience

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology

  • 3+ years of previous experience with conveyors in the automation industry

  • Experience with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical is a must. Proficiency in TCP/IP and serial communications

  • Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens

  • Strong ability to create flowcharts, revision notes, and state diagrams to document software processes
