As a Designer, Bridges & Civil Structures, you will play a key role in shaping resilient transportation infrastructure that connects communities and supports sustainable growth. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex bridge and civil structure projects, contributing technical design expertise while growing your career within one of Canada's leading engineering organizations.


Your Impact

  • Prepare detailed structural designs and drawings for bridges and civil structures in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Support the development of preliminary and detailed design packages for transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technologists, and project managers to deliver coordinated design solutions.
  • Assist with quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and constructability reviews.
  • Incorporate sustainability, safety, and quality considerations into all design work.
  • Participate in design reviews and apply feedback to continuously improve technical outputs.
  • Contribute to project documentation, reports, and client deliverables.
  • Support field reviews and construction-phase services as required.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting the design of bridges and/or civil structures within a consulting or engineering environment.
  • Proficiency with structural design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar).
  • Working knowledge of Canadian bridge and structural design codes and standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a teambased, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada.

Compensation:

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $73,400 - $97,200
MB & ON: $67,400 - $97,200
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $66,300 - $88,000
