Job description

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Senior Project Engineer job in Stratford, CT. This permanent hire job is available with one of our key customers in coastal engineering services. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the design, planning, and delivery of marine and waterfront infrastructure projects. This role combines technical engineering expertise with project leadership and client engagement. To be successful in this position, candidates should possess hands-on experience in marine engineering and construction, along with a proven ability to perform field investigations, develop project proposals and estimates, and manage projects from conception to completion.

Senior Project Engineer Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the engineering and execution of marine and waterfront infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare and review site plans, construction drawings, grading plans, stormwater management systems, drainage systems, and erosion control measures.
  • Serve as primary contact for clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide technical direction, address project challenges, and help ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Assist with project proposals, cost estimates, and business development efforts.
  • Support strategic growth initiatives and mentor junior engineering staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Coastal, Ocean, Marine, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Eight plus years of experience in marine engineering, waterfront infrastructure, or marine construction.
  • Proven ability to manage projects through design, permitting, and construction phases.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Candidates pursuing licensure will also be considered.
