Job description

CTI and Associates, Inc. (CTI) is a provider of geotechnical and environmental consulting, engineering, remediation and construction services to federal, state, municipal and commercial clients across the United States. CTI is seeking a Civil Engineer who is experienced in Construction related activities with a focus in Quality Control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of engineering designs and technical solutions for solid waste, water resources and federal and state projects. Experience in water resource engineering, solid waste permitting and design and Department of Energy (DoE) and Department of Defense (DoD) requirements preferred.
  • Support the identification and allocation of resources, including materials, equipment, and project staff, to meet project objectives.
  • Assess potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays or disruptions during project execution.
  • Track project progress, ensuring adherence to schedule and budget while making necessary adjustments to keep projects on track.
  • Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance during the engineering process, ensuring all project components function as intended.
  • Work closely with senior engineers, project managers, and contractors to facilitate communication and maintain alignment on project goals.
  • Prepare project documentation, including technical reports, schedules, and progress updates, for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that project engineering activities meet relevant safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
  • Other reasonable directives, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Education, Experience and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, environmental or water resources) (required).
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in project engineering (required), preferably in the solid waste, water resources and/or Department of Energy or Department of Defense sectors.
  • Proficiency in engineering design software including HydroCad, HEC-RAS and AutoCad Civil 3D and project management tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Must receive a satisfactory pre-hire drug screen and background check.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements.
