Job description

An Engineering Assistant job in Plainfield, IN is currently available at Belcan. We are seeking a talented Engineering Assistant to join our exciting team with focus on Gas Turbine Engines and Defense Products. This is a direct, full-time position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need a high school diploma and warehouse experience. Experience within the aerospace and defense industry or other highly regulated industry preferred.
Job Duties:
Candidates will be involved in leading or support of various engineering assistant tasks including:
o Ability to follow processes & guidelines
o Ability to review parts orders for delivery, including picking and packing
o Ability to sort, manage and maintain incoming and outbound deliveries
o Ability to meet deliverable deadlines
o Ability to make required entries into parts tracking systems (guidance will be provided)
o Clear communication within the team and to the customer
o Candidates are expected to help raise the level of performance of the team, through a collaborative team setting, consistent communication, and willingness to help others achieve success
Required Qualifications:
o 2+ years experience with parts orders in a warehouse type environment, including repaired material
o Warehouse experience required
o Preferred experience: Maximo or SAP preferred
o Experience with gathering and organizing data for input into parts tracking systems
o Professional communication, both written and verbal
o Detail oriented and good time management a must
o Ability to meet deliverable deadlines
o Ability to deal with ambiguity, to be adaptable, to work across multi-discipline teams, and to drive results
o Due to the nature of the work performed, US CITIZENSHIP is REQUIRED
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $27.00 to $31.00 per hour however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
