Job description

Insituform Technologies, LLC.is looking for anArea Administrator for ourWetout Facility in Cedar City, UT. This role is responsible for coordinating the key administrative and operational activities required to support the plant's production needs and ensure customer orders are executed efficiently and on time. The position is essentially coordinating production planning, workforce and labor administration, materials planning, purchasing, inventory management, and operational reporting, while working closely with the Plant Manager, Production, Materials, HR, Procurement, Finance, and suppliers

Order Management & Production Planning

  • Process work orders and consolidate demand to develop and maintain the production schedule.
  • Review upcoming production requirements and coordinate with Operations, Engineering, and Planning to ensure orders are scheduled appropriately.
  • Monitor order status and identify potential scheduling constraints or risks to on-time production.
  • Partner with the Materials Management team to optimize inventory levels both on-site and in transit.

Labor & Workforce Management

  • Review labor/time entries for each work order in the applicable time-management systems.
  • Support the Plant Manager in maintaining the appropriate number of technicians to meet production requirements while minimizing idle time and overtime.
  • Manage timecard reporting and ensure all payroll-related information is submitted accurately and on time.
  • Reconcile labor variances by comparing labor standards to actual hours worked and identify significant deviations.
  • Monitor employee attendance and late arrivals and document them in accordance with company systems and policies.
  • Provide labor-hour reporting and identify opportunities to improve workforce productivity.

Material Planning

  • Dry tube - Daily review inventory levels and upcoming jobs (P6), manage assignment of dry tube pallets to jobs based on demand and on hand inventory levels to minimize scrap. Coordinate with Material Planner on any shortages of stock tube or project manager for shortages of job tube.
  • Plan production materials OTD; this includes the daily review and reporting of inventory levels of dry tube, chemicals, resin, and part numbersavailability in shared location.
  • Plan and manage purchase orders for MRO material at lead time. Reconciling invoices to POs for raw material and work with Material Planner on any pricing discrepancies between PO and invoices.

Supplies & Purchasing Management

  • Maintain adequate supplies and consumables to support production requirements.
  • Request and evaluate supplier quotations in accordance with company purchasing processes.
  • Create and receive purchase orders and change orders to support purchasing and payment processing.
  • Work with vendors and Accounts Payable to ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
  • Follow company policies and processes to ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation for purchasing transactions and vendor information.

Inventory Management

  • Assist with monthly cycle counts utilizing inventory practices. Report cycle count results and significant variances to the Plant Manager for review and approval. Reconcile inventory variances daily. Investigate recurring inventory discrepancies and work with the appropriate teams to identify root causes and corrective actions. Maintain accurate inventory records and support inventory accuracy initiatives. Own overall inventory accuracy as well as justification for any inventory adjustments.

Record Keeping & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate historical records and documentation, including vendor information, regulatory documentation, correspondence, and other required records.
  • Create, review, and submit required internal reports.
  • Prepare monthly reports for management, including inventory levels, labor hours, production performance, and other key operational metrics.
  • Maintain accurate and timely data in applicable company systems, including DSI, JDE, P6, and time-management systems.

New Employee Onboarding

  • Lead the administrative portion of onboarding for new employees.
  • Coordinate with HR to ensure required onboarding paperwork and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
  • Support the Plant Manager and HR with new-hire orientation and administrative requirements.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain a flexible work schedule when required to support business needs, including occasional evening and weekend work. Eligible additional hours will be compensated in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned based on business needs.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing operations, production planning, materials management, inventory control, purchasing, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with production schedules, work orders, labor reporting, inventory, materials, and/or purchasing processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and data across multiple systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with the ability to analyze data, identify variances, and prepare operational reports.
  • Experience with an ERP/MRP system required; experience with JD Edwards (JDE) preferred.
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and work collaboratively with others to develop practical solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees, supervisors, managers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support production requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends, based on business needs.
