Job description

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide in-home therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The COTA will assist patients in improving functional independence and safety within their home environment. Come join an amazing agency that values their employees.

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide occupational therapy interventions as directed by the supervising OT 

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting 

  • Implement therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, coordination, and mobility 

  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety strategies 

  • Accurately document patient visits in accordance with Medicare and home health guidelines 

  • Communicate patient progress and concerns to supervising OT and interdisciplinary team 

Qualifications: 

  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program 

  • Active Florida COTA license 

  • Home health experience preferred 

  • Knowledge of Medicare documentation requirements is a plus 

  • Familiar with EHR such as Kinnser 

  • Strong communication and time management skills 

  • Possesses and maintains current CPR certification 

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
