Overview
R&P is looking for a senior level Acquisition Program Manager who wants to join our team. We are a mid-sized defense contractor providing Business Financial Management, Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We are seeking a qualified candidate to lead our direct support to the Principal Assistant Program Manager (PAPM) in with the overall planning, direction, and success of the program to include overseeing the desgin, construction and testing of the Navy's newest Submarine Tender.
Responsibilities
  • Apply knowledge of DoD acquisition management, contract, technical and business management
  • Use understanding of DoD contracts and contract analysis and DoD contracting processes to support the client
  • Serve as the Project Manager for the Program Management, Admin, and Cost Estimating support teams.
  • Responsible for delivering accurate deliverables and assisting the Principal Assistant Program Manager (PAPM) for AS(X) with acquisition, financial management, and production support services.
  • Supervisory duties include but are not limited to assisting team members with proper training in their duties, as well as pertinent program databases and systems
  • Proactively identify and mitigate technical and programmtic risk

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and 15+ years of related experience Acquisition management or related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred)
  • DoW/DoN Policies and Amphibious Ship experience (highly desirable)
  • Active SECRET Clearance required
