VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

The University of St. Thomas (UST)-Houston, a private Catholic University committed to the Liberal Arts and intellectual tradition of Catholic higher education, invites applications from outstanding candidates for a Full-Time Visiting Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering.

Position Summary:

The Department of Physics and Engineering at the University of St. Thomas invites applications for a Full-Time Visiting Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering, with a particular emphasis on CAD, machine design, and solid mechanics. The department seeks candidates passionate about teaching and hands-on education with a strong research and teaching background in Mechanical Engineering who are enthusiastic about mentoring undergraduate students and supporting applied learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach undergraduate courses in mechanical engineering, with a particular focus on CAD, machine design, solid mechanics, and control systems.
  • Supervise undergraduate student projects and capstone design
  • Collaborate with faculty on curriculum development and program
  • Engage in professional development and/or applied research related to experimental mechanical engineering education.
