Job description

SUMMARY: 

The Rinker College of Business seeks an Assistant/Associate Professor of Data Analytics. Responsible for a wide range of courses in data analytics, including general education courses upper-level and graduate-level data analytics courses. This role requires a strong commitment to teaching, Christian faith, scholarship, and to service. This position includes normal responsibilities of faculty, including but not restricted to, office hours, advising, and attendance at the Rinker College of Business staff meetings.

The Rinker College of Business is AACSB accredited. It offers eleven undergraduate majors, and five graduate degree programs. The College of Business has approximately 700 undergraduate students, 100 graduate students, and 30 full-time business faculty. Our faculty pride themselves on their practice-oriented innovative teaching styles, with the inclusion of Christian principles to keep their classrooms interesting, ethics-grounded, and engaging.

POSITION DETAILS:

The position is a full-time position, with a teaching load of 3-4 courses per semester and a starting date of July/August 2026.

STATUS:

EDUCATION:

Preferred to hold a Ph.D. in data science, business analytics, information technology, or related fields.ABDs from an AACSB accredited institution may also be considered. Note: A PhD is preferred but a D.B.A. with a concentration in data science, business analytics, information technology, or related fields may be acceptable.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Earned 18 graduate credit hours in business/data analytics, data science, or information systems.
  • Applied experience in the areas of data querying, mining, visualization, regression, forecasting, optimization, and simulation relevant to business related problems.
  • Authored multiple recent publications in peer-reviewed accounting or business-related journals.
  • The ability and interest in teaching evening, day, online, and on-campus, modalities within our undergraduate and Master of Business Data Analytics programs.
  • Evidence of a planned scholarly agenda consistent with expectations of teaching, informed by scholarship focused programs
  • A Christian commitment and the ability to integrate Christian faith into traditional coursework.
  • A commitment and ability to teaching excellence and service to the College, the University, and the community.
