Assistant Professor of Nursing (Tenure-Track) or Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing

Theย Brent R. Nicklas School of Nursing at Hartwick College invites applications for one full-time faculty position to teach in Hartwick's Baccalaureate-level Nursing program, starting in August 2026, pending final administrative approval. We seek versatile candidates with expertise in Medical-Surgical, Research, Pharmacology, Gerontology, Clinical.ย The options for rank include Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing (full-time, renewable) or Assistant Professor of Nursing (full-time, tenure-track).
Minimum qualifications for the position include M.S. in Nursing at the time of the appointment, an unencumbered NYS RN license, and recent relevant clinical or educational experience.ย  Preference will be given to applicants with a doctorate in nursing, at least three years of full-time teaching experience in a bachelorโ€™s level Nursing program, certification, and additional areas of nursing specialization.
Teaching load will average 20 semester credit hours or their equivalent per academic year, and faculty members can also teach during the Collegeโ€™s distinctive four-week January Term. The successful candidate must be committed to excellence and innovation in undergraduate teaching, advising students of all levels and backgrounds through the transition to college, active engagement in scholarly and/or creative activities, and working closely with students in a small college environment.ย
