Position Overview:

Talladega College invites applications for a Assistant Professor of Sociology to join the Department of Social Sciences. This is a full-time appointment with the possibility of renewal, depending on departmental needs and funding. The Assistant Professor of Sociology will be responsible for teaching undergraduate sociology courses, contributing to curriculum development, and engaging in academic service to the College. The successful candidate will be an experienced educator with a strong commitment to teaching, student success, research, and fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Specific Qualifications:

  • Education: A Ph.D. in Sociology or a closely related field is required (ABD candidates who are close to completion will also be considered).
  • Experience:
    • A demonstrated record of effective teaching at the undergraduate level.
