PLEASE NOTE: Thisposition is for the University of New Mexico-Gallup Campus located in Gallup,NM, approximately 138 miles west of Albuquerque, NM.

The University of NewMexico-Gallup invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor ofMathematics.  We are one of four branchcommunity colleges of the University of New Mexico and serve approximately 2200students.  Located in Gallup NM,approximately 138 miles west of Albuquerque, UNM-Gallup is situated in the FourCorners region and near the Navajo Nation, Zuni Pueblo and HopiReservation.  The city of Gallup has apopulation of 22,000 and the surrounding areas provide an abundance of outdoorrecreational activities, various museums and extraordinary cultural vibrancy,while maintaining a small-town feel.

UNM-Gallup serves ahugely diverse student population with 100+ full time and part-time facultymembers.  We are fully accredited by theHigher Learning Commission offering Associate degrees, selected Bachelor'sdegrees, Career Technical Education certificate programs, and adult basiceducation (ABE/GED), workforce training and personal enrichment courses.  UNM-Gallup serves multiple high schoolpopulations including McKinley Academy, Middle College High School and theCenter for Career and Technical Education.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach a4/4 course load in the area of mathematics and statistics, maintain an activescholarship/service record (as defined by the UA-UNM CBA), participate inmonthly Division meetings and execute other relevant duties as agreed upon inconjunction with the division chair in an annual faculty-chair agreement.
