Job Summary:

The Assistant Production Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the effective utilization of the workforce in the assigned production area. This will include utilizing all available resources to produce the necessary products at the lowest cost to the company, while effectively prioritizing and managing time/resources to achieve maximum productivity and accuracy. In this position, you will supervise, train, and monitor department personnel.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effective utilization of the workforce in the production area assigned.
  • Utilize all resources available to produce the necessary product with the least cost to the company.
  • Effectively prioritize and manage time/resources for maximum productivity and accuracy.
  • Supervise, train, and monitor department personnel. Handle conflict effectively.
  • Review bills of material and shop orders for accuracy.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft applications, e-mail, ERP, etc.
  • Identify problems, inform appropriate departments, and work together to find workable solutions.ย 
  • Solve problems and implement method changes and process improvements, which will decrease cycle times and increase setup efficiency.
  • Program, operate, and troubleshoot machines without assistance through process improvements.
  • Recommends improvements in manufacturing and production operations
  • Follows production schedules to ensure production orders are completed on time.
  • Coordinates production jobs for efficiency and analyzes production priorities.
  • Return to stock material is being counted correctly and properly identified.
  • Good communication within the department and other departments.
  • Represents RTC in a professional manner by demonstrating considerate and respectful behavior.
  • Ensure direct and indirect labor is reported accurately and promptly for payroll and cost accounting purposes.
  • Responsible for safety and setting 6S standards in the department.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Degree in manufacturing, engineering, or business, and/or 1-2 years relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, in particular, Microsoft Office (Intermediate to Advanced in Excel).
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred (LN, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Experience working in a machining/production environment with machine programming knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong technical skills required.
  • Knowledge of operating Vacforming or Screen Print machines is a plus.ย 
  • Must be a motivated self-starter.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must work well with all associates in a team environment.

    Compensation

    The base salary range for this position is budgeted for $48,056-$71,122, with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base salary depends on various factors and could be above or below the range depending on the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, specific skills, level of education, business needs, and market demand. The full salary range for this role reflects this position's competitive labor market value and provides an opportunity to progress as associates grow and develop within the role. ย Bonuses are paid based on RTCโ€™s financial results.ย  Any payouts awarded in the first year of employment are pro-rated based on the start date.ย  Program rules are subject to change at managementโ€™s discretion.ย
