Job description

Position Summary

Our Client is seeking an Assistant Product Manager to support the management of our consumer data storage and electronics portfolio across the Americas. Working alongside the Product Marketing Manager, this role supports the full product lifecycle, from item setup and launch through in-life management and end-of-life, and acts as a central hub for product data, competitive intelligence, and cross-functional coordination. It is an ideal opportunity for an analytical, detail-oriented professional looking to grow into a full product management role.

Key Responsibilities

Product Lifecycle & Portfolio Support

  • Assist product managers in managing the portfolio across categories (flash storage, memory cards, external SSD/HDD, optical and accessories).
  • Support new product introductions, including item/SKU setup, UPC/GTIN assignment, specifications, and launch checklists.
  • Maintain accurate product master data across systems (PIM/ERP), specifications, content, imagery, and pricing.
  • Coordinate product changes, transitions, and end-of-life (EOL) actions with sales, operations, and supply chain.
  • Manages certification of new products, packaging support and verbiage, with guild lines

Market, Competitive & Pricing Analysis

  • Track category trends, competitor products, pricing, and promotions, and maintain ongoing competitive benchmarking.
  • Support pricing recommendations, margin analysis, and product business cases with data.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Serve as a liaison between Americas sales and marketing and Global Product Management (Our Client) on roadmap, availability, and specifications.
  • Support demand planning and forecasting inputs in partnership with operations and sales.
  • Coordinate product samples, certifications, and compliance and regulatory documentation.

Sales & Marketing Enablement (product content)

  • Provide product training content, specification sheets, and technical talking points to the sales and marketing teams.
  • Ensure product messaging, specs, and claims are accurate and consistent across channels and packaging.
  • Support localization of product content for Latin American and Caribbean markets.

Reporting & Administration

  • Build and maintain product dashboards, launch trackers, and portfolio reports.
  • Support roadmap documentation and quarterly product and portfolio reviews. 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in product management, product marketing, category, merchandising, or a related analytical role (relevant internships considered).
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel; comfort working with product and data systems.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage many SKUs and deadlines at once.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across sales, marketing, operations, and global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish; Portuguese a plus).
  • Experience in consumer electronics, technology, or data storage categories.
  • Familiarity with PIM/ERP systems, retail item setup, or content syndication tools.
  • Content product management experience a plus.
  • Exposure to retail and e-commerce channels (Amazon, mass, and specialty retail).
