Job description

The Pool Attendant is responsible for creating a welcoming, safe, and exceptional poolside experience for guests while maintaining the highest standards of luxury hospitality, cleanliness, and guest service. This position supports the Food & Beverage and Pool operations by maintaining the pool environment, assisting guests with seating and amenities, supporting food and beverage service, and ensuring all pool facilities remain clean, organized, and guest-ready throughout the day.

Job Duties & Functions

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a personalized and attentive poolside experience.
  • Assist guests with seating arrangements, lounge chair setup, umbrellas, towels, and other pool amenities.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the pool deck, lounge areas, cabanas, and surrounding guest spaces.
  • Monitor pool inventory including towels, water stations, sunscreen offerings, menus, and guest amenities, ensuring adequate stock levels throughout the day.
  • Proactively anticipate guest needs by offering refreshments, replenishing amenities, and responding promptly to requests.
  • Support Pool Servers by delivering food and beverages, clearing used items, resetting guest areas, and maintaining service flow.
  • Ensure pool furniture, cabanas, umbrellas, and equipment are properly arranged and maintained according to Hotel standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections of the pool area and report maintenance, cleanliness, safety, or operational concerns to management immediately.
  • Maintain hydration stations, guest refreshment offerings, and poolside service areas.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures including setup, breakdown, cleaning, stocking, and securing equipment.
  • Promote a safe pool environment by observing and reporting unsafe conditions, spills, damaged equipment, or guest concerns.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure a seamless luxury guest experience.
  • Respond professionally and courteously to guest requests, concerns, and special accommodations.
  • Maintain luxury service standards, professional appearance, and grooming expectations at all times.
  • Follow all Hotel policies, food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and workplace safety requirements.
