Job description

Southern Ohio Medical Center is seeking an Interventional PM&R physician to join their hospital-employed outpatient PM&R group in Portsmouth, OH. This role involves providing outpatient care with a focus on interventional pain management procedures. The physician will work within a supportive team environment, managing a diverse patient caseload.

Practice Info

  • Hospital employed outpatient PM&R group
  • Staffing includes 1 outpatient physician, 1 inpatient physician, 1 outpatient Nurse Practitioner, 4 LPN's, 3 Medical Office Assistants, and 1 Surgery Scheduler
  • Case load of 10-15 patients/day in outpatient clinic, 3 half day clinics
  • 5-8 procedures/day in the OR
  • Equipment includes Meditech and Dragon Medical One
  • Procedures include Needle guided ultrasound, EMG, Epidural Nerve Block, Ablation, Knee & Shoulder Injections, TPI, Occipital Block, and Spinal Cord Stimulators

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient PM&R care
  • Perform interventional pain management procedures in the OR
  • Manage a caseload of 10-15 patients/day in outpatient clinic
  • Perform 5-8 procedures/day in the OR
  • Participate in 1:4 weekend call for inpatient rehab care unit, approximately 13 weekends/year

Shift & Schedule

  • Office Hours/Work Schedule: 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday
  • 8:00am - noon Friday
  • This schedule can be flexed
  • Call Schedule: 1:4 weekend call for inpatient rehab care unit, approximately 13 weekends/year
