Job description

PURPOSE:

To perform material handling as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Operate pallet jack and flat carts
  • Move product from station to station
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds without assistance, and up to 70 pounds with assistance.
  • Assist truck drivers in unloading and loading the trucks.
  • Other related duties as directed by the Plant Supervisor and Assistant Plant Supervisor.

RELATIONS:

  • Works under the direct supervision of the Plant Supervisor and Assistant Plant Supervisor.
  • Also works under the direct and/or indirect supervision of the Vice President of Retail Operations, and the President and CEO of Goodwill Industries.

STANDARDS FOR MEASURING PERFORMANCE:

  • Degree to which standards are reached.
  • Degree to which respect and confidence of co-workers is established.
  • Quality, quantity, and timeliness in the performance of assigned tasks.
  • The manner in which the individual reflects his/her overall personal appearance both in following the Goodwill Dress Code and personal hygiene.
  • The manner in which ones conduct reflects the high standards of morals and integrity expected of all Goodwill Associates.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and respond to special requests and the desires of management.
