Job description

Essential Functions

  • Create shop orders and build orders based on item attributes and demand, and release shop orders to Production based on priority and material availability.
  • Create or assist in creating production schedules based on priority and material availability.
  • Create or assist in creating assembly schedules for each product line based on sales order priority and component availability.
  • Collaborate with production leadership regarding work orders status.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing team to identify and expedite part shortages and provide updates to management and/or Customer Service.
  • Working with multiple functional areas, recommend or initiate production rescheduling based on material availability, capacity and customer requests in order to mitigate late shipments.
  • Support Sales/Customer Service with satisfying customer requests and provide an accurate recovery schedule for missed shipments.
  • Using the ERP system, map and track critical customer orders from production to shipping and provide Sales/Customer Service with accurate updates.
  • Suggests and implements improvements in work flow, and other aspects of production control to support continuous improvement.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or (GED) and one year related experience and training. Must have general knowledge of Microsoft Office.
