Description
The PT Assistant Pitching Coach will assist the head coach and pitching coach in areas related to pitching development, practice planning, academic oversight and operations.
Job Duties
  • Assist the head coach with overall team management, including but not limited to recruitment of student athletes, coordination of team practices, monitoring academic progress of athletes and preparing the team for competition.
  • Represent the college in a professional/positive manner on campus, in the community, and at sponsored events/contests.
  • Work collaboratively with the head coach to maintain compliance with NJCAA by-laws and eligibility rules.
  • Assist the head coach with tracking academic progress and retention of student-athletes.

Qualifications
  • Experience in pitching development
  • Ability to pass a background check, have a valid U.S. driver's license and good driving record.

Physical Demands
  • Acceptable eyesight (with or without correction)
  • Acceptable hearing (with or without correction)
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing
  • Lifting and carrying, reaching, climbing, walking, standing, bending & stooping
  • Ability to do facility set-up by climbing stairs, ladders, and moving moderately heavy equipment.
  • Ability to throw batting practice and hit fungos
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs
