Cardiac Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist

Wildomar, CA $110,200 - $130,150 a year

Job Type: Full Time

Position Overview:

As a licensed Radiologic Technologist in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, you will be vital in assisting with cardiac catheterization procedures. Your main responsibilities will include providing high-quality imaging, operating fluoroscopy equipment, and managing image storage in compliance with departmental standards. Additionally, you will support cardiologists as a scrub technician during procedures and oversee billing and data collection duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all duties associated with the Rad Tech โ€“ Cath Lab role.
  • Ensure the proper operation of imaging equipment within the cardiac catheterization lab.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
  • Provide high-quality images and sequences for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • Manage communications within the lab, including handling pages, lab specimens, and housekeeping requests.
  • Update procedural changes and prepare supply requisitions as needed.
  • Act as a Monitor Technician, acquiring and analyzing hemodynamic and electrophysiological data.
  • Assist physicians as a scrub technician during diagnostic coronary arteriography and cardiac interventions.
  • Maintain proficiency in Radiographic, Monitor, and Scrub Technician roles through ongoing education.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab. Recent graduates from a Radiology Technology program or Radiation Technologists with at least five (5) years of recent experience will also be considered.
Required Licensure:
  • CRT (California Radiologic Technology Certificate)
  • CA Fluoroscopy Permit
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
Required Certifications:
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) within six months of hire
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Additional unit-specific certifications may be required.
