Job description

Assistant Smokehouse OperatorRate: $20.00 per hour Bilinski's is a leading producer and distributor of high-quality sausages. We are dedicated to crafting exceptional products while ensuring efficient and seamless operations. Our team values innovation, precision, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

HOURS: 

1st SHIFT - Mon. - Fri. 6:30am to 3:00pm or until finished with mandatory overtime as daily schedule requires.

2nd SHIFT - Mon. - Fri. 2:30pm to 11:30pm or until finished with mandatory overtime as daily schedule requires. 

Pay is weekly, starting at $20.00 per hour **(plus $1.00 Shift Differential for 2nd Shift ONLY)

Bilinski's Sausage Mfg. Co. is seeking an Assistant Smokehouse Operator for our fully cooked chicken sausage manufacturing operation in Cohoes, NY

Requirements include but are not limited to:

  • Rolling large carts of hanging sausages (weighing ~500 lbs) into and out of our Kitchen & Processing Areas
  • Tracking and recording oven cook times and temperatures
  • Tracking and recording chill down time and temperatures
  • Rotating racks of product efficiently to keep pace with our assembly and production lines
  • Coordinating with the room supervisor on the schedule for the day
  • Cleaning and inspecting the Kitchen and Smokehouse areas before and after daily production
  • Ability to work in both hot and cold conditions
  • Ability to fill in other key positions (such as spice blending) as needed
