The Assistant Operations Manager plays a key role in supporting daily transportation operations by leading employees, promoting safe and compliant work practices, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. This position serves as a resource for drivers, attendants, dispatchers, and other team members by providing coaching, training, communication, and operational support. The Assistant Operations Manager works closely with leadership to foster a positive, reliable, and efficient work environment while supporting the organization's commitment to safety, service, and employee success.

Pay: $75,000/yr

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support daily transportation operations by ensuring employees understand their job duties, responsibilities, and expectations.

  • Foster open and transparent communication to promote teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence.

  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and ongoing support to help employees succeed in their roles.

  • Serve as a resource for drivers, attendants, dispatchers, managers, and other operational staff.

  • Deliver training on company policies, procedures, systems, and new programs as needed.

  • Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, FTA, or transportation safety regulations preferred.

  • Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to analyze reports, interpret data, and make sound operational decisions.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and transportation-related technologies preferred.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
