GALAXY LIFTS- MANUFACTING OPERATIONS MANAGER


Galaxy Lifts is seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to lead the overall operations of our Mabank, Texas manufacturing facility. This individual will oversee the day-to-day performance of the plant while driving operational excellence, financial performance, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. Reporting directly to the President, the Operations Manager will partner with leaders across Production, Engineering, Warehouse, Shipping, Sales, and Finance to support strategic growth while ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and profitability.

WHAT THE ROLE DOES:


  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations at multiple sites to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, on-time delivery, and profitability.
  • Monitor production schedules and capacity to meet customer demand.
  • Align and direct Production, Warehouse, Inventory, and Shipping departments. Develop and mentor leaders, supervisors, team leads, and floor associates. 
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
  • Manage equipment maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and development of production staff.
  • Monitor production schedules and capacity to meet customer demand.
  • Resolve operational issues and escalate concerns to senior leadership as needed.
  • Own the operational and financial performance of the plant, including budgets, cost control, and profitability. 
  • Track, analyze, and report KPIs, production metrics, labor efficiency, and financial performance to drive business decisions.
  • Develop and execute strategies that improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and support long-term growth.
  • Partner with the President to establish operational goals and business priorities. 
  • Foster collaboration across Operations, Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Customer Service.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure resources, staffing, and production capacity align with business demands.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety protocols.


THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:


  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of progressive operations or manufacturing management experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment is required.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, process improvement, and production planning principles.
  • Experience developing operational strategy and executing business initiatives.
  • Experience managing a manufacturing facility or multi-department operation.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, cost control, and P&L analysis.
  • Proven track record of leading teams through growth and organizational change, with experience developing leaders at all levels and driving measurable operational improvements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and production management software.
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Lead, train and motivate a team while maintaining a positive attitude.
