Join Our Leadership Team
The Learning Experience – Oak Creek is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Assistant Director to help lead our school and support our growing community of children, families, and educators. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced early childhood professional who enjoys mentoring teachers, building strong family relationships, and helping ensure a high-quality educational experience.
Working closely with the Center Director, you'll play an essential role in daily operations, staff development, licensing compliance, and creating a positive, welcoming culture where both children and teachers can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Center Director to oversee the daily operations of the school
  • Ensure compliance with all Wisconsin licensing, health, and safety regulations
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and coach teachers and support staff
  • Assist with employee scheduling, staffing, and operational planning
  • Support enrollment growth by conducting family tours and delivering exceptional customer service
  • Build strong relationships with current and prospective families
  • Monitor classroom quality and help implement The Learning Experience's educational programs
  • Foster a collaborative, positive, and accountable team culture
  • Assist with community outreach and local marketing initiatives
Ideal Qualifications
  • Previous leadership experience in a childcare center, preschool, or early childhood education program
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Wisconsin childcare licensing requirements preferred
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing teaching teams
  • Passion for early childhood education and creating exceptional family experiences
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
